1st Tacloban City Scout Jamboree, New Kawayan Campsite

Naming as the fastest Scout Council to organize all over the nation, Tacloban City Council celebrates its after season of Christmas as the 1st City Jamboree was held.
The Jamboree was held at New Kawayan Campsite, Tacloban City last 27th – 29th day of December 2011 as the new campsite and training ground for future scouts. The site has a huge area and checkpoints with great distance, which is good for physical exercise by walking long and curve passages.
All of the schools’ outfits joined the jamboree with great courage and critical thinking once more. Every scout prepared for everything that they may encounter as the days gone by. Almost half of the populations of scouts were all Boy Scouts from different Elementary schools and the rest were composed of Senior Scouts and Rover Scouts.
Heavy weather was drawn from the skies above, but this uncertain instance cannot let any Scout diminish its persuasive goals to finish tasks and activities. As expected, all of the activities were all hard in first impression, but easy in finishing with. Some of the activities were Semaphor Flag Signaling, Campfire Presentation, Orienteering, and many more. All of the scouts felt good and fulfilled with their accomplishments.
At the day of Closing Program, all scouts gathered in tired but neat posture with their heads up high. During the final seconds of the Scout Jamboree, every scout treasured all the happy and down moments they had as they leave for the day with peace of mind and with smiles on their way back home.
