Tacloban City Scouts Met Mayor Alfred Romualdez

Tacloban City Mayor, Alfred Romualdez invited Tacloban City Scouts  at the Tacloban City Hall Conference Room.on July 12, 2011.

Mayor Alfred Romualdez recognized the effort of the scouts and scouters who represented Tacloban City  during the 15th National Jamboree at Mt. Makiling, Los Banos, Laguna last May 26-31, 2011. With this he also presented token to the scouts and scouters through Mr. Mannix Marta, the Council Executive.

Among those present during the conference were Dr. Ronilo K. Firmo, Tacloban City Schools Division Superintendent - Jamboree Contingent Head, Mr. Mannix Marta - Tacloban City Council Executive, Mr. Tony Alba - Deputy Council Executive, Sto. Nino SPED Boy Scouts, STEFTI Senior Scouts, EVSU Senior Scouts, Mr. Miguel Dumas (SPED), Mr. Marvin Nicer (STEFTI), Mr. Marlon E. Lora (EVSU), Mr. Bryan H. Gervacio (EVSU), Mr. Richard S. Brun (EVSU), Ms. Rizalita de Jesus (RCS) and Ms. Angelita Besarino (RCS).

Mayor Romualdez surprised all scouts with his invitation to participate an overnight camping at Mt. Panamao in Biliran Province on July 30-31, 2011. All cost at free, except  its not "eat all you can" (jokingly).

Beads Awards

Mr. Marlon Lora, awarded three beads during the Fellowship Night at the 15th National Jamboree in Mt. Maikiling, Los Banos, Laguna last May 2011. Mr. Lora, a faculty of College of Education, Eastern Visayas State University. He is concurrently a member of the Board of Directors of  BSP Tacloban Associate Council  where he serve as Council Scout Commissioner for Leader Training of the council.

Likewise, Mr. Bryan H. Gervacio was awarded two beads. Mr. Gervacio, is a faculty of the Secondary Laboratory School,  College of Education of Eastern Visayas State University. He attended a Wood Badge Training with training No. 10-322  last May 17-24, 2010 at Capitol Hills, Cebu City. He had been granted by the BSP National Office an Adult Leader Training Recognition Troop Wood badge with Registration No. 10-557, issued on December 29, 2010.
